“The mere presence of the American allies of the Zionist regime, who are making such statements, indicates the weakness and incapacity of that regime,” Khamenei remarked, alluding to both Israel and the United States.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has rejected claims regarding possible US military action against Tehran, asserting that American involvement merely underscores Israel’s waning power.
“The mere fact that the American allies of the Zionist regime have entered the fray and are making such statements is indicative of that regime’s frailty and incapacity,” Khamenei remarked, alluding to both Israel and the United States.
“If the adversary perceives that you are afraid of them, they will not release their grip on you. Maintain the same conduct you have exhibited thus far; persist in this conduct with vigor,” he further stated.
Khamenei has called upon Iranians to remain resolute in the face of escalating external threats, reiterating his appeal for resistance against Western pressure and interference.
“I wish to convey to our esteemed nation that if the adversary perceives that you are afraid of them, they will not release their grip on you. Maintain the same conduct you have exhibited thus far; persist in this conduct with vigor,” he expressed.
His comments arise amidst reports that high-ranking US officials are preparing for a possible military strike on Iran in the near future, a development that would signify a significant escalation in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.
Previously, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a grave warning to Khamenei, stating he “should not continue to exist” following a missile strike that impacted a hospital near Tel Aviv.
“The cowardly Iranian dictator hides in a heavily fortified bunker and launches missiles at hospitals and residential areas in Israel. These actions constitute war crimes of the utmost severity — and Khamenei will be held accountable for his transgressions,” Katz stated in a message on X.
He indicated that the Israeli leadership had mandated increased military operations aimed at Iran.
“The Prime Minister and I have directed the IDF to escalate the intensity of assaults on strategic sites in Iran and on governmental targets in Tehran to eliminate threats to Israel and weaken the Ayatollah’s regime,” Katz added.
